Special extraction method

Minami uses a patented environmentally friendly production method (supercritical CO2 extraction) that is praised by renowned scientists. This allows us to achieve very high doses of omega-3 and an unmatched purity. This most advanced and expensive production technique is used to meet the high expectations of our loyal customers.

Why supercritical CO2 extraction instead of molecular distillation? Supercritical CO2 extraction takes place at lower temperatures. This is essential for preserving the beneficial properties of the vulnerable unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, no chemical solvents are used in CO2 extraction, which could otherwise remain in the oil.

Small ecological footprint

Minami uses a patented environmentally friendly production method. Because this production process is super efficient, we use 75% less heat than the competition. The CO2 is almost completely recycled and the factory uses biofuel in the form of rapeseed oil. Minami also works exclusively with sustainably caught smaller fish species.
