Product description
For fresh breath and a healthy tongue.
Bad breath or oral halitosis is a major problem. Not only for the person who has bad breath, but also for the close environment of this person (partner, friends, colleagues).
Various clinical studies have shown that one in four people suffers from bad breath to a greater or lesser extent.
So a major problem. People who are aware of their bad breath are often ashamed of their problem and try to mask the bad breath with chewing gum, sweets and mouthwashes.
Also, having bad breath in the morning when you get up, the so-called morning foetor, can be a reason for a feeling of embarrassment. In addition, there is also quite a taboo on talking about bad breath. People who are not aware of their stale breath are often not addressed about the problem.
With the Halita products, this problem can actually be tackled!
Causes of bad breath (oral halitosis) Halitosis is an abnormal smell of the exhaled air. It is important not to confuse halitosis with temporary bad breath, which occurs after the use of tobacco, alcohol, garlic, Brussels sprouts, etc. The cause of the more permanent halitosis complaints can for the most part literally be found in the mouth.
How does bad breath develop? Many people think that bad breath is caused by their stomach. This is almost never the case. Clinical research has shown that in most cases (87%!) bad breath originates in the mouth and especially on the back part of the tongue. This part is quite rough and has many grooves in which bacteria can nest. When the tongue is stuck out and a white/yellow coating is visible on the back part of the tongue, it is not difficult to imagine that there are a lot of bacteria here. Some of these bacteria produce volatile sulfur compounds (VZVs) that give off a foul odor, similar to the unpleasant smell of rotten eggs.
There are currently three products on the market that can effectively treat the cause of bad breath (bacteria): Halita; available as Gargles and Mouth Spray and the accompanying tongue cleaner. All of these products focus on actually fighting the bacteria on the back of the tongue. This is in contrast to many other products that only try to mask bad breath. In addition to using the Halita products, brushing the teeth well, but also cleaning the spaces between the teeth and molars remains important. The latter can be done in a handy way with the Interprox interdental brushes.
Reducing bacteria on the tongue with Halita products:
Instructions for use Because the bacteria on the back of the tongue come back every day, it is important that they are also removed daily. The following daily routine can be maintained with the Halita products.
Halita Tongue Cleaner 2x Operation: This mechanically cleans the tongue. Compare the toothbrush for the teeth with the tongue cleaner for the tongue.
Treatment: 1 or 2 times a day cleaning the tongue according to the instructions on the package. Tongue cleaning in the morning may be more effective due to the accumulation of bacteria on the tongue during the night. However, cleaning the tongue in the evening is often better tolerated (less gagging).
Halita Gargle Agent Effect: In addition to tongue cleaning with the Halita Tongue Cleaner, extra support is often needed to properly tackle all bacteria. The substances in Halita have an antibacterial effect. Compare Halita for your tongue with toothpaste for your teeth.
Treatment: In the morning after brushing your teeth and in the evening just before going to sleep, gargle with 15 ml of Halita for 1 minute. Spit out and do not rinse with water.
2 hours Oral spray Effect: Because bacteria on the tongue that have been removed in the morning can increase again during the day, support with the Halita Oral Spray may be necessary. The active substances in the Mouth Spray are the same as those of Halita Gargles (antibacterial). The Spray also neutralizes mouth odors that can occur after using spices, alcohol and tobacco.
Due to the handy size, the Mouth Spray is easy to carry.
Treatment: Use throughout the day as needed. Spray 4 to 6 puffs at a time on the back of the tongue and in the mouth.
When does the treatment have an effect: When the Halita products are used in a good way every day, the treatment often has results within a few days. The Halitosis symptoms will diminish and often disappear completely. However, daily maintenance is necessary to maintain this good result. This is because the Halitosis-causing bacteria also return on the tongue every day. Daily cleaning of the tongue with the Tongue Cleaner continues to form the basis for good maintenance. This is supported with the Halita Mouth Spray. With more severe Halitosis complaints, it may be necessary to continue gargling with Halita daily.
Finally: find a trusted person An aspect that many people who are going to treat their bad breath run into the fact that it is difficult for the person to check that the bad breath has actually disappeared. Because a quick habituation takes place to the own (body) odor, not all people with bad breath experience this smell themselves. Just think of the perfume or eu de toilette that is soon no longer smelled after spraying in the morning. This is also the case with halitosis complaints. Because a person with bad breath does not experience it himself or to a much lesser extent (due to this habituation), it is also difficult to control the disappearance of the complaints. The solution can be to ask the partner, colleague, friend if they want to check their breath now and then
