Due to European regulations, it is mandatory to add extra carbohydrates to formulas for children under 1 year to meet the energy needs of these young children. Nannycare deliberately does not opt for less favorable carbohydrates such as maltodextrin or glucose syrup, like many other formulas, but only uses the more expensive lactose to supplement the natural lactose content in goat’s milk.
